## Description

NNL is seeking information on a small article monitor to detect low levels of potential radioactive contamination to determine monitoring out of small items from potentially radiologically contaminated areas. General requirements: NNL seeks a tool/article counter to validate the total Beta/Gamma activity in an item is less than 450 pCi/item. Specific requirements: Size (interior):

**Minimum:** 15”x15”x18” Natural Background Reduction Minimum 2” Lead Shielding (or equivalent) Count down to an activity that is conservatively under 450 pCi Beta/Gamma non-conservative 15% error at the 95% confidence level.

**Counting Time:** Co-60; To reach a total beta/gamma activity of < 450 pCi: 120 secs Cs-137; To reach a total beta/gamma activity of < 450 pCi: 420 secs
