Amendment 0001 * Added an 's' to the word Experiment in the title Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Space Test Experiments Platform (STEP 2.0) Program Solicitation #FA880924RB001 Pursuant to FAR 15.203, this RFP communicates Government requirements to prospective contracts and solicits proposals for the STEP 2.0 program. The Step 2.0 program establishes a Multiple-Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with separate Delivery Orders (DOs) to procure proven spacecraft (SC) and space access for science and technology (S&T) experiments. The STEP 2.0 IDIQ contract vehicle provides the ability to execute DOs aligning payload (PL), Space Vehicle (SV), and Launch Vehicle (LV), schedules with on-orbit operational capability. The anticipated period of performance of this IDIQ includes a base period of five (5) years with one (1) option period spanning five (5) additional years. The Government anticipates a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract type for each Spacecraft solution offered. Most work allows the contractor to contemplate either a FFP or Cost Plus Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract type solution. A Not Separately Priced Data and Reports CLIN exists for each contract type and should mirror the contract type proposed on the work CLIN.
