BACKGROUND AND SCOPE The United States (US) Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Strike Systems Program Office (AFLCMC/WISS) is conducting market research to identify systems capable of providing Multi-spectral Night Vision Goggles for dismounted airmen. Non-developmental, production-ready solutions are needed to replace and upgrade legacy devices. CAPABILITY GAP Air Force Special Warfare (SW) Operators lack a fully-integrated multi-spectral Night Vision System that combines the latest sensor technology with ATAK-integrated Augmented reality capability. Fielded first-generation multi-spectral NVGs are heavy, have low-resolution high-latency thermal sensors, and limited field of view for the thermal image and Augmented Reality (AR) overlay.
