For SW missions, combining these capabilities into single systems can provide benefit to the user, including reducing the number of items carried on mission, reduced Size, Weight and Power (SWAP), fewer cables, and reduced cost. The SW program office seeks information on the best available Systems that provide optimum capability with minimal SWAP and Cost. All laser devices must be on the USAF Safety Center Laser Systems “Approved Systems” listing, with FDA approval or DoD waiver as applicable. This RFI seeks systems in production, however vendors are encouraged to submit roadmaps showing near-term (1-2 years) planned improvements to proposed solutions.
