In relation to the previously awarded Active Shooter Mitigation System contract FA860123P0189, which was granted on September 28, 2023, gunshot sensors and a panic button for the Shooter Detection System are required for installation as part of the Active Shooter Mitigation project. The final phase of this project involves integrating these sensors and buttons into the fire control panels. This integration will activate the release of the Maglocks on emergency exits and enable the mass notification system. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). This proposed procurement will be a Sole Source under North American Industry Classification System Code NAICS Code 561621- Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths). Business size standard: S25,000,000 USD. The proposed source is NMUSAF Fire Alarm Equipment. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract regardless of responses that may be received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
