The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 United States Code (USC) 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). This authority is supported by an approved Single Source Justification. The applicable NAICS code is 337214 Office Furniture (Except Wood) Manufacturing. This NAICS code has a small business size standard of 1,100 employees. AFLCMC/WL requires the reconfiguration of four 8' x 6' workstations into two 12' x 8 'supervisor workstations located in F20558, Room 214. This project necessitates the procurement of furniture that seamlessly integrates with the area’s existing Knoll Dividend Systems furniture to maintain a cohesive and aesthetically consistent workspace. Knoll operates through authorized dealers and sourcing outside this network risks compromising product authenticity, warranty, and support. The Government intends to purchase the reconfigured workspaces through Enriching Spaces, which is the preferred authorized Knoll Dividend System furniture dealership for Wright Patterson Air Force Base. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.
