Repair support is due to end by August 2024. The program has found a replacement for this display which is the Replacement Multifunction Controls and Display (RMCD). This data card is to go on the test stand for lab testing settings. An Alta Data Card is the only data card that will work with the software that is already in use. In order to utilize a different data card, it would require engineers to re-write the software in order to communicate with the new hardware, which would require two engineers and would take about 300 hours of work. The cost to utilize a different manufacturer's data card would exceed $50,000.00.
