The C-5’s doors include both B-model and C-model C-5 Aircraft. The aft cargo door serves a critical function in loading and unloading oversized cargo. The function of the C-5 main landing gear door serves several functions including aerodynamic efficiency, protection of landing gear components, landing gear operations and the structural integrity of the aircraft.
