Market research determined LaVision Inc is the only vendor capable of integrating into the existing system that is upgrading LaVision camera, using their control system. The government intends to purchase a particle image velocimetry computer system to be used with existing sensor equipment that will be used in wind tunnel testing. The system will enable experimentalists to visualize cross-sectional flowfields. At a minimum, the camera system must: · Communicate with the existing cameras and laser · Capture and process two dimensional and stereo PIV measurements in a timely fashion · Be modular and able to operate with a limited camera setup if necessary · Have easy-to-modify control · Integrated software calibration IAW FAR 13.106-l(b), Soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, the contracting officer determined the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
