Copper cable structured wiring to be in options of either twisted pair Cat 5e for facilities with a majority of existing Cat 5e infrastructure or Cat 6/Cat 6 for newer facilities, either at the discretion of USAF. All internal wall penetration works to include ‘fire stopping’ to industry standards. All newly installed cabinets or racks will be permanently fixed to the floor (bolted) unless directed otherwise by the COR and grounded appropriately. Provision for safe Asbestos abatement working methods to be included for work areas identified by USAF Civil Engineers as containing historical Asbestos contaminated materials.
