Award of a contract is dependent on receiving funding* This requirement is accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 13.501(a) “Soliciting from a single source”. SAFE Boats International is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the identified SAFE 35 Center Console Boat. While Internet research did identify vendors capable of providing similar boats, none offered these specialized SAFE Boats products which are mandated per the AFI 10-3503. Thus, SAFE Boats International has been determined to be the only known source capable of providing the mandated SAFE 35 Center Console Boat This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source procurement action under NAICS 336612 and is not a request for competitive proposals. Parties who wish to challenge this sole source action must submit an interest letter that demonstrates the firm’s ability to fulfill the requirement. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered.
