## Description

*THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT* The Panther II is a tri-band, man-portable Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) system designed for high-speed data communications, including Internet access, VPN connectivity, and video transmission. This requirement focuses exclusively on the X-Band configuration, which is optimized for military satellite communications. The system is available with 60 cm and 96 cm parabolic reflector antennas and supports both manual and auto-acquisition modes.

Its lightweight and rugged design allows for transport in a rucksack or airline-checkable hard case. This is a requirement aimed at enhancing tactical communication capabilities through the deployment of X-Band VSAT systems.

Critical Performance Requirements and Risk Factors · High Data Throughput: The system must support data rates up to 3 Mbps transmit and 45 Mbps receive over X-Band frequencies. · Rapid Deployment: The system should allow for quick setup and acquisition, minimizing the time to establish communications. · Environmental Resilience: The equipment must operate effectively in temperatures ranging from -32°C to +50°C and withstand wind speeds up to 45 mph with proper anchoring. · Power Efficiency: The system should support power-saving features and operate on various power sources, including 10-48VDC and 90-264VAC.

**Risk Factors:** · Environmental Conditions: Extreme temperatures and high wind speeds may affect system performance. · Power Supply Variability: Dependence on external power sources may pose challenges in remote locations. Quantities and Sustainment The initial procurement is for 1 Panther II X-Band system. Future sustainment will involve maintenance support, potential upgrades, and procurement of additional units based on operational needs.
