The timber to be harvested is located on approximately 61 acres in Forest Unit 7 (please see attached map), Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana as indicated on Timber Sale Map 18-1 Exhibit A. A 10% bid deposit will be required with the submitted solicitation package. This agency will consider a bid from all responsible sources. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available; interested parties will have to download the solicitation package. Once the solicitation is posted, it is the responsibility of the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 11331O with size standard 500 people. In order to be awarded a contract with the federal government, vendors must be registered at www.sam.gov {(FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management (SAM) - it takes 4 - 10 days to get registered)}.
