The 2nd Contracting Squadron, Barksdale AFB, hereby submits an intent to award a sole source notice. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-priced contract to Knoll, Inc. in care of (c/o) IDI Workspaces under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) for the purchase and installation of furniture in accordance with (IAW) the Product List in Building 5341 on behalf of Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) at Barksdale AFB. This procurement action is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Requirement. 2. See attachment section for Product List 3. *This notice does not constitute a solicitation document. Requests for such documents will notbe considered. However, all information received after publication of this notice will beconsidered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitiveprocurement in the future. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement tocompetition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.Information received will be evaluated as to confirm or deny the decision to conduct acompetitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred byresponding to this notice. The Government will not pay for information received. Firms whodesire to challenge this sole source action must submit an interest letter (email is acceptable) thatdemonstrates technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for thisacquisition. The letter must describe clear and convincing evidence that competition would beadvantageous to the Government and will not be cost or time prohibitive. * 4. IDI Workspaces has the exclusive right to sell Knoll Inc items within 200 miles of Barksdale AFB. The 'SG Wing Area 220' office space in building 5341 is currently outfitted with Knoll, Inc. products. The requirement's owner has expressed the need that requested furniture products match the style, fit, and function of the existing furniture in Building 5341. The furniture products that have been requested are to honor current warranties of products and to match existing furniture that occupies the spaces. Market research was conducted and has confirmed that the above company is able to meet thegovernment's needs. Accordingly, a sole source award will be made to Knoll Inc in care of (c/o) IDI Workspaces. 5.
