It is anticipated that the process will involve 3 primary activities each night, saw cutting, removal and installation of temporary panels, and placement of permanent panels. Each permanent panel will be constructed from fast setting concrete, capable of achieving aircraft traffic strength during a 3–4-hour cure period. The runway intersection shall open for daily aircraft traffic each morning. The project necessitates specialized capabilities and equipment, such as sawing and removal equipment for 24-inch pavement and volumetric mixers, sufficient in quantity to place a minimum of 50 cubic yards of fast setting concrete.
