The project consists of providing all plant, labor, material parts, and equipment necessary to replace standpipes, bases, and guide rails on the sewer lift station at building 509 on Joint Base Charleston Air Base, South Carolina. The project requirements include, but are not limited to the following major items of work: Sewer Lift station Contractor Requirements: • Set-up to perform OSHA Permitted Confined Space Entry (CSE). • Plug manhole and install contractor-provided bypass pump. • Pull pump #1 and perform CSE to remove #1 guide rail, standpipe, and base. • Set new base, new standpipe, and new guide rail using new guide rail brackets. • Repeat process for other bases, standpipes, and guide rails on the other 3 existing pumps. • Once installed, all components will be tested for functionality to ensure normal operations.
