The contractor shall furnish all management, labor tools, equipment, transportation, and materials necessary to provide certification, preventative and corrective maintenance services to the Z Portal and Z Backscatter X-Ray Inspection Systems. The 628th Contracting Squadron intends to make an award to Rapiscan Systems, Inc, a large business. Market research was performed, and information gathered in determining this company to be the only source for this requirement. In accordance with (IAW) FAR Part 5.207(c)(15), the proposed contract action is for a product for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of DAFFARS 5313.501- 10 U.S.C. 3572, Implementation of Simplified Acquisition Procedures (41 U.S.C. 1901).
