Please see the attached Sole Source Justification for your reference. 1 SOCONS/PKA will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The appropriate authority for single source solicitations is as follows FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is Sole Source only. In accordance with FAR 5.102, the required justification document is attached. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation.
