The appropriate authority for single source solicitations is as follows FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is Sole Source only. In accordance with FAR 5.102, the required justification document is attached. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. However, Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 2:00 PM C.S.T, 26 November 2024. via email to peyton.cole@us.af.mil and dorian.mija@us.af.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
