## Description

**SYNOPSIS:** This sole source requirement is for a non-commercially available air to ground radio (AN/PRC-163 Radio system) for use by Fire Department personnel to communicate with aircraft pilots prior to landing. This capability is crucial during aircraft in-flight or ground emergencies. Due to the military use of this particular equipment it is only sold to DOD entities. L3Harris Technologies Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the required item. Market research does not find any availability through GSA or other supply sources.
