Due to an active, severe fuel spill at Joint Base Andrews with an unknown source and volume, immediate remediation and containment services were required to prevent catastrophic environmental damage to Piscataway Creek and surrounding habitats. 3. Description of Supplies/Services: Clean Harbors Environmental Services Inc. was contracted to contain, capture, and dispose of jet fuel and jet fuel byproducts. Clean Harbors possessed the immediate mobilization capacity, specialized equipment, certified personnel, and pre-existing base access necessary to respond instantly. 4.
