The U.S. Air Force 460th Contracting Squadron at Buckley SFB, CO is posting this Sources Sought to find potential vendors capable of providing Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) for Cooling Water Pipes. The government is searching the market for contractors capable of providing Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) in a timely manner. This must be done without shutting off the water. What certifications are required for a contractor to conduct UTT? how long does UTT take? What are the risks? Are there other, less risky forms of testing the pipes? Has the government overlooked anything for this requirement in the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS)?
