The contractor will coordinate with the 21st Civil Engineering Squadron (21 CES) to conduct bio-environmental screening for hazardous materials beneath the existing flooring. Once cleared, the contractor will remove the old carpet and rubber cove base, managing daily site clean-up and off-base debris disposal, as on-site equipment storage is strictly prohibited.<br />\nTo prepare the space, the contractor will relocate standard furniture --coordinating with the Government to ensure all IT cables, power cords, and personal items are removed beforehand. The installation phase requires laying new, commercial-grade modular carpet tiles or planks directly over the existing vinyl flooring using low-VOC adhesives. The contractor will also install a new vinyl cove base, trim door bottoms for proper clearance, and perform any necessary wall spackling and painting to repair damage caused during the removal of the old baseboards.
