The contract will be executed by means of other than full and open competition as a logically follow-on sole source. In order to comply with FAR 5.207(c)(15), the reason for lack of competition is as follows: Awarding a sole-source follow-on contract to the current provider of dumpster services ensures continuity and reliability, preventing any lapse in service that could disrupt operations. Sandford Federal Inc already has an established understanding of the customer’s specific needs and logistical requirements, which streamlines service delivery and minimizes the risk of errors or delays. Transitioning to a new vendor could involve significant onboarding time and costs, potentially affecting service quality and efficiency. Additionally, the existing provider’s track record and proven performance offer a level of trust and dependability crucial for maintaining uninterrupted service.
