## Description

NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award to a single source contract to Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation to provide familiarization training on how Gulfstream builds, certifies, and maintains aircraft in compliance with various FAA Orders.

The courses will cover the history of Gulfstream aircraft, offer an overview of Gulfstream’s business operations, and guide attendees through the entire product life-cycle - from initial design, certification, and production to life-cycle maintenance, with an emphasis on continued operational safety.

This single source vendor is the only known source available that can provide and conduct all ODA/certification training. They have an extensive Compliance Assurance Organization Learning and Development program and are equipped to provide required training (in-person and computer-based).

The Gulfstream Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) will provide a detailed overview of how the designated authority complies with the governing regulatory requirements and works with the ODA holder to perform the FAA designated duties. The courses will incorporate hands-on learning activities throughout Gulfstream, allowing attendees to experience the company's test labs, flight test environments, and engineering areas.

This exposure will provide participants with practical knowledge of how aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and ODA holders develop, certify, and maintain aircraft to meet FAA regulatory requirements. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA’s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
