Bristol, CT 06010-7482, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The proposed contract action is for the acquisition of a 8731Series Wheel Assembly Torque System. Due to the need for compatibility with the current system along with and increase in unique capabilities, Bauer INC., is the only source authorized to provide the 8731Series Wheel Assembly Torque System. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this simplified acquisition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The circumstances of this contract action deem only a single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement.
