The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation will be issued. The USGS studies endangered adult Lost River Sucker fish movements and habitat utilization in Upper Klamath Lake, OR. These studies involve tagging 200 fish with the Innovasea, Inc. 69 kHz V13, V13T, or V16T acoustic transmitters. USGS requires (120) V13, (80) V13T, and (20) V16T acoustic transmitters; (20) Innovasea NexTrak R1 receivers to monitor these tagged fish along with an Innovasea VR100 manual tracking receiver; (1) VHTX hydrophone, (1) VH110 hydrophone, and activation probe. This equipment must be fully compatible for existing USGS acquired Innovasea 69 kHz receivers. The code on the equipment is proprietary; therefore, no products on the market with compatibility exist.
