NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE FOR FWS Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery, UT for the urgent leasing of a back-up generator TO WHEELER MACHINERY CO. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of:

FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and compelling urgency To WHEELER MACHINERY CO 4901 W 2100 S Salt Lake City, UT 84120, United States ? The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 532490 - OTHER COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT RENTAL AND LEASING, $40,000,000 ? The object of this sole source award to WHEELER MACHINERY CO for the urgent lease of a back-up generator. The current generator is non-functional, creating an emergency.

Lease of a standby generator is crucial, as it will power the production pumps essential for maintaining the health of the fish, as well as providing potable water for employees and visitors, including drinking and sanitary water. A notice to proceed was issued by a warranted Contracting Officer and a Purchase Order is required so the vendor may invoice for services provided.

This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.

If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
