This is only an estimate and will not bind the contractor or the Government in any way or at any time into a contract with any of the specified terms below. This is a market survey to locate potential sources of supply for repairing of Heads up Displays (HUD) versions CV-4229(V)8/AVS-7. Contractor shall be able to repair the following assemblies and subassemblies: National Stock Number (NSN) Nomenclature Cage Code Part Number 5895-01-459-3051 Converter, Signal Data 50218 MA834A-01 . Requirements Description: The HUD facilitates helicopter pilots to use the Aviator’s Night Vision Imaging System (ANVIS) goggles during flight operations. The HUD supplies critical operational information to the pilot superimposed over the ANVIS image. The HUD diminishes the requirement for the pilot and co-pilot to look at the flight instruments, thus allowing them to concentrate on scanning outside of the cockpit. The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP) for the parts. The TDP is not available for release. The assigned North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 333314. Requested Response Information: The U.S. Army is seeking to identify vendors with the capability to repair HUD assemblies and subassemblies. The vendors must have extensive knowledge of the ANVIS HUD system as the U.S. Army will not provide any test equipment or facilities for this effort. At a minimum, information submitted should include but is not limited to the following types of documentation: Questionnaire information on previous Government and commercial contracts, and data rights. In your response, please include your company name, CAGE code, and a technical point of contract with email address and telephone number. Notice, Response Due Date, and Points of Contact: This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA.
