Utilizing the authority at FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) and FAR 6.302-6 – National Security, the ATF intends to solicit directly to local companies without publishing the solicitation on SAM.GOV. This announcement constitutes the only notification of the ATF’s intent to solicit. A formal combined synopsis/solicitation will not occur. All solicitation communication will occur directly with the contractors. This acquisition is for a commercial item or service and is conducted under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13—Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12—Acquisition of Commercial Items. It is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The notice of award and the written sole source justification will be posted after award. Proposed Contractors: Local authorized Lenel resellers/installers. Will not be disclose due to National Security. There are four (4) locations requiring FIPS control system upgrades. The ATF will issue a separate solicitation and award for each location.
