As part of the construction contract solicitation, USACE-NAU intends to include the following sole source requirements: K-12 Rated Pivot Gate – The AutoGate VPL-CB-24 Shield Crash Gate Barrier is the only pivot K-12 rated gate on the latest DOD Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier List and is the only commercially available item which meets this project’s requirements.The AutoGate VPL-CB-24 Shield Crash Gate Barrier is the only active pivot K-12 rated gate on the DOD List (DOD Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier List, dated September 2022, page 7). Note that the drop beam barriers on that list do not include the fencing required for anti-personnel entry and rolling gates do not meet the space constraints and SOCOM’s Mission Assurance requirements.
