The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Biological Technologies Office (BTO) develops capabilities that embrace the unique properties of biology and applies those features to revolutionize how the United States protects its Warfighters. BTO is seeking a Facilitator to form a network of experts and thought leaders unified in a study group with the purpose of informing BTO’s mission to develop novel approaches to create and prevent surprise across the biological-related disciplines. BTO has three foundational areas that will be used as the basis for focus areas of initial study group efforts, these foundational areas are: The Warfighter – efforts in this area address Warfighter needs from pre-deployment to deployment and recovery after return. The Warfighting Enterprise – in this area, BTO seeks to ensure the uninterrupted prosecution of warfighting in contested or denied environments by developing novel improvements to operational capabilities and utilization of resources in theater.
