## Description

The DEA Radio Unit requires Digi International IX25 LTE cellular modems and associated compatible accessories to support secure, reliable connectivity for existing Federal law-enforcement communications infrastructure. This requirement is Brand Name Only for Digi International IX25.

DEA Radio has standardized portions of its deployed cellular architecture on Digi equipment, including established configuration baselines, carrier connectivity, routing, firewall rules, IPsec VPN parameters, firmware-management procedures, technical documentation, and administrator support processes. Cybersecurity and cryptographic compliance are material requirements.

The IX25 platform supports secure IPsec VPN communications and incorporates Digi’s DAL operating environment, which utilizes a FIPS 140-3 validated cryptographic module under the NIST Cryptographic Module Validation Program. Agency communication traversing commercial cellular networks must use approved cryptographic protections consistent with NIST SP 800-53- SC-13.
