## Description

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announces its intention to negotiate and issue a sole source award to Metrohm USA Inc. 9250 Camden Field Parkway Riverview, FL 33578 United States as sole source provider for CPSC maintenance and service contract for Metrohm branded ion chromatograph in Laboratory Sciences – Chemistry as the sole source provider from 26 August 2024 through 25 August 2029. for a total amount not to exceed $42,869.00.

CPSC is authorized to enter into contracts for equipment and software required to facilitate and support the investigation efforts for the safety of consumer products and for improving the safety of such products (5 U.S. C. § 2054).

CPSC intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of Authority of 13.106-1(b)(1) and 41 U.S.C. § 3304(a)(a), for only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.

The procurement will be awarded as noncompetitive negotiated acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations / responses received within 30 calendar days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any quotation/response must be in writing and can be sent via email to the Contract Specialist at drushbrook@cpsc.gov by 2:00 pm Eastern Time, 19 July 2024. No phone calls will be accepted.
