The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) implements a program regulating permits for marine turtle-related activities. Only one marine turtle permit is issued per beach to manage impacts on turtle habitats. This approach ensures responsible management of marine turtle populations in Florida. Amelia Island Sea Turtle Watch is the only Marine Turtle Permit Holder for the Nassau County locations listed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
