## Description

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to issue a sole source modification to an existing contract with Applied Research Associates, Inc. located in Albuquerque, New Mexico under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to continue supporting the Acquisition Management Portal (AMP). This extension will enable NGA the ability to achieve its major milestone.

A change in the current provider would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Additionally, the requiring activity would suffer unacceptable delays in the fulfilling of the agency's requirements for needed acquisition improvements for the Intelligence Community. Therefore, no competition is being sought at this time.

The sole source modification to the existing contract will provide NGA with the continued provision of highly specialized services. The period of performance is anticipated to be for one year after contract extension. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions and is not a request for competitive proposals. A solicitation will not be posted.

However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification no later than 20 August 2024. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
