## Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARD This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on behalf of the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO), intends to negotiate with Othering and Belonging Institute, University of California, 460 Stephens Hall, Berkeley CA 94720 MC 2330 on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1– Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to procure Geospatial Segregation and Integration Data and Project Management and Support Services for the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development intends to issue a five year (one 12-month base year; and four 12-month option years); firm fixed price; sole source award contract to Othering and Belonging Institute, University of California, a large business.

The NAICS Code is 541611 – Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services – primarily engaged in providing operating advice and assistance to businesses and other organizations on administrative management issues, such as financial planning and budgeting, equity and asset management, records management, office planning, strategic and organizational planning, site selection, new business start-up, and business process improvement.

This industry also includes establishments of general management consultants that provide a full range of administrative, human resource, marketing, process, physical distribution, logistics, or other management consulting services to clients FHEO is seeking contractor services to provide racial integration and segregation data, while also providing consultative advice on technical assistance materials for RHEO’s Policy and Legislative Initiatives Division (PLID).

Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation.

Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition.
