The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department, Code 02 intends to award a contract for an Applied Research Effort in Fuzing & MEMS Technology on a sole source basis to Energetics Technology Center, Inc (ETC) (CAGE 4RZ92), located at 4185 Indian Head Highway, Indian Head, MD 20640. ETC is the only qualified vendor capable of providing this service in support of Applied Research Efforts in Fuzing & MEMS Technology and is a logical follow on in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The intended contract will consist of one (1) base year and four (4) option years. This synopsis is for information purposes only. The proposed contract action is for services the government intends to solicit and negotiate as a sole source effort under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) requires a contractor who is capable of providing the following on behalf of the United States Navy (USN): development and testing of MEMs technology, analysis for fuze safety and design and propotying design develpment for warhead technology.
