## Description

The U.S. Army Health Contracting Activity (USAHCA), Health Readiness Contracting Office (HRCO), Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) - Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to negotiate and award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with firm-fixed price CLINS, on a sole source basis to University of Miami (UM) School of Medicine, located at 1600 NW 10th Ave, Miami, FL 33136-1015.

The requirement is to obtain non-personal training support services in support of the U.S. Army Trauma Training Detachment (ATTD). The ATTD trains Army Forward Surgical Teams (FSTs) and Army Forward Resuscitation Surgical Teams (FRSTs) for combat deployment. Currently, the ATTD does not have the certified staff necessary to facilitate the Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma (ASSET+) course and Central Line course.

In addition, the ATTD does not have certified veterinary staff and an approved Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) Animal Use in Training protocol, which is required for the facilitation of the ATTD's Situational Training Exercise (STX).
