## Description

DLA Distribution intends to award a contract for, to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.203-5(b)(1) “Authorized or Required by Statute (Citation: 18 U.S.C. 4124)” for a quantity of forty-one (41) each (EA) freestanding workstations, tables, chairs, and one hundred and one (101) stools, along with their associated hardware, accessories, and installation for DLA Distribution Oklahoma City, OK (DDOO), located at Oklahoma City, OK.

The Scope of Work includes layout, delivery and installation of office furniture and associated hardware and accessories. In accordance with FAR 8002(a)(1)(iii), Agencies shall satisfy requirements for supplies through the mandatory Government source of Federal Prison Industries, Inc. when the supplies are available for purchase from that source. In order for required workstations to function appropriately, and safely they must be procured from the same provider so that all pieces mesh together fluidly.

Office workstations must be maintained to ensure the safety of employees and to promote optimum workplace functionality in support of the mission. The new furniture is necessary in order to provide current employees with a workspace to continue to perform and prevent a work stoppage resulting in mission failure. Therefore, this requirement must be filled expeditiously. UNICOR Office Furniture Group is capable of fulfilling this requirement with the required supplies and within the required delivery schedule.

Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 337211 with a small business size standard of 1,000 Employees. PSC Code is 7110. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. A solicitation will not be issued for this procurement action or posted to the single Government Point of Entry, the beta.SAM.gov website.

All responsible sources may respond by submitting qualifications/capabilities of the company by MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2024 at 5:30 PM EST to Steven Lesh by email: steven.lesh@dla.mil for consideration by the agency. If no affirmative responses are received, a purchase order will be awarded to UNICOR Office Furniture Group.
