## Description

•The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to REMEL INC. •This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 325413 - In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing.

Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. •This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.

Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to the contract specialist Ruben Reyes at qmz3@cdc.gov by 12:00PM, September 6, 2024. •This acquisition will allow for the maintenance of government-owned laboratory instruments: Remel Inc Sensititre TM broth dilution (proprietary).

Service for Sensititre equipment can only be performed by an authorized ThermoFisher representative, and only through Thermofisher contract establishment with Remel as per the terms of the attached quote and sole source letter including: •Access to the Technical Service Hotline 24/7, excluding Thermo Fisher 3 Scientific Holidays •Target FSE on-site response for corrective maintenance: ?2 business days. •Annual Preventative Maintenance Service, including PM parts/supplies •Software/Firmware upgrades including labor, travel, and parts •Corrective Maintenance Services, including travel and parts •Access to loaner instruments, if needed (dependent on loaner availability) •Applications Support: one Applications visit per contract year, up to three consecutive 8-hour business days on site There are no other potential vendors of known sources with the capability to provide the service required.

Remel (Thermofisher) is the sole provider of the proprietary Sensititre plates and ancillary supplies used for valid testing using Sensititre plates. Please see attached sole source letter file name “CDC Sole Source 031924”. The sensititre susceptibility testing equipment and supplies are the only ones compatible with our needs and other manufacturers' products cannot be interchanged with current surveillance testing workflows.
