The RedHawk KVM-RT Config Tool and licenses will be used to test reducing physical hardware needed for ULA’s (United Launch Alliance) deployments. The NightStar software is needed to real-time troubleshoot and detect system overruns or interrupt conflicts in the Integrated Avionics Test Facilities (IATF) labs. NASA/MSFC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the IT Annual Maintenance and NightStar Tools from the Original Manufacturer (OM), Concurrent Real-Time Inc. 800 NW 33RD ST Pompano Beach, Florida 33064-2046, United States under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.201-1 Simplified Procedures. Concurrent Real-Time Inc. is the sole distributor/supplier of the IT units which include proprietary hardware and software (RedHawk Linux real-time operating system and NightStar Tools) used by NASA for system testing and development. The OM, Concurrent Real-Time Inc., exclusively provides the associated warranties and service agreements to ensure long-term functionality for authorized users. The NightStar software is needed to real-time troubleshoot and detect system overruns or interrupt conflicts in the IATF labs. Resale dealers or distributors are not authorized by the OM. The Government intends to acquire a commercial product or service using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Madison Brock, Madison.p.brock@nasa.gov, or Michael Thomas, michael.r.thomas@nasa.gov not later than 4:40 PM on September 9, 2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis.
