GENERAL INFORMATION Title: Replacement and Upgrade of Components for Three Nikon Live-Cell Imaging Systems Background Information: The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics (LCBG) requires replacement of critical components for three existing Nikon live-cell epifluorescence imaging systems located in Dr. Steve Cappell's laboratory. These systems, installed between 2017 and 2019, support continuous, long-term live-cell imaging experiments used by multiple investigators within LCBG to study cell cycle regulation, cancer cell death, cancer stem cell biology, Ras signaling, and therapeutic responses. The imaging systems have experienced age-related degradation of key components, including scientific cameras, motorized filter wheels, workstation computers, and imaging software. Replacement of these components is necessary to restore instrument performance, maintain manufacturer support, extend the operational life of the systems, and minimize research disruptions.
