Background and Objectives: Spatial transcriptomics is crucial in vascular senescence research to pinpoint senescent cells within the intricate architecture of blood vessels. As aging progresses, vascular tissues undergo significant changes, including cellular senescence, which contributes to various age-related diseases. Traditional methods of identifying senescent cells often lack spatial resolution, making it challenging to precisely locate these cells within tissues. Spatial transcriptomics techniques, however, offer the ability to map gene expression patterns within the context of tissue structure, allowing researchers to identify and characterize senescent cells in their native microenvironment. This spatially resolved approach provides valuable insights into the distribution and interactions of senescent cells within vascular tissues, facilitating a deeper understanding of their role in vascular aging and age-related pathologies. For these reasons, the consumables provided by Nanostring are required for our research. Purchase Description: The purpose of this requirement is to acquire CosMx and GeoMx consumables. See the attached Purchase Description for detailed requirements. Anticipated Delivery date: 30 days after receipt of order. Capability statement /information sought: Small business concerns that believe they possess the capabilities to provide the required services should submit documentation of their ability to meet each of the project requirements to the Contracting Officer. The capability statement must specifically address each of the project requirements separately. Additionally, the capability statement should include 1) the total number of employees, 2) the professional qualifications of personnel as it relates to the requirements outlined, 3) any contractor GSA Schedule contracts by which all of the requirements may be met, if applicable, and 4) any other information considered relevant to this program.
