NOTICE OF AWARD. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSALS. Solicitation No. 75N95024R00006 for the “Quantification of Drugs of Abuse and Related Substances in Biological Specimens” was published on December 1, 2023. This Request for Proposal was released under FULL AND OPEN Competition Procedures. On January 2, 2024, the solicitation closed, and The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) received two (2) timely proposals.

On June 10, 2024, in response to the requirements of Solicitation 75N95024R00006, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) awarded Contract No. 75N95024C00014 to the University of Utah - Center for Human Toxicology located at 30 South 2000 East, Rm 201, Salt Lake City, Utah 84112. An award is being made on a Cost Reimbursement (CR) basis in the amount of $316,333.00 to fully fund the base period for this award.

The purpose of this Research and Development (R&D) contract is to (1) analyze experimental samples for drug concentrations in biological fluids and/or tissues; (2) develop more specific and sensitive methods for existing drugs or compounds and provide analytical validations for such methods, and (3) develop assays for compounds that are not currently available for which specific and sensitive assays are required by the drug abuse research community. This contract includes the use of Option Periods and Options for Increased Quantity. The Ultimate Contract Value if all Options are exercised shall not exceed $3,104,636.00.
