## Description

The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service for Mescalero Service Unit, hereby submits a Notice of Intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract for an emergency boiler repair and preventative maintenance services to be provided to the Maintenance Department of the Mescalero Service Unit located in Mescalero, NM, and to be awarded to Hybrid Plumbing and Boiler Specialists, LLC, UEI: RCC9NRNB4Q84.

The boiler systems covered under this contract include two (2) RITE Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. hot water boilers, Model 300WGO, natural gas–fired, each rated at approximately 2.4 MMBtu/Hour, manufactured in 2007, and in operation at the Mescalero IHS (Mescalero Service Unit, MSU). Justification and Approval for emergency boiler system repair and preventative maintenance services at the Mescalero Indian Health Center.

The contract action was awarded in accordance with FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and compelling urgency. The estimated total value is below the simplified acquisition threshold. This was awarded in accordance with FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and compelling urgency. The sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from placing an order on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supply or service will satisfy agency requirements and is based on market research.

Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of agency. The determination not to compete the proposed action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received normally will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred for responding to this notice. This is not a request for quotes or proposals.
