The purpose and function of the Indian Health Service (IHS) is to provide comprehensive health care services to American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN) through the IHS hospital and clinic system. The IHS seeks professional support to maintain and improve these services through consistent and current training/instructor certification services, etc. The National Council for Mental Wellbeing is the first and only certifying body in the nation to offer these services nation-wide, as this is an Agency-wide requirement. The period of performance for this effort will be a 12-month BASE period with two (2) 12-month option periods. This sole source contracting action is being pursued under the authority of FAR 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. *See attached Sole Source Justification document.
