**75F40124Q123689 - Questions and Answers Summary:** The purpose is to answer Contractor-posed questions to the solicitation. The questions posed does not merit extending the quote deadline. As a result, the response date will remain unchanged.

**Questions and Answers:**

**Question #1:** Requirement 1 states a motorized stage and Requirement 3 states manual focus; is the turret for the filters listed in Requirement 8 manual or motorized? What about the nosepiece?

**Answer:** Both turret and nosepiece shall be motorized Question #2:

**Requirement 2:** Shall have 5X, 10X, 20X, 40X and 63X Objectives Is the 63x listed to be oil immersion or dry? Are any of these objectives to be phase capable and if so which ones?

**Answer:**

1. 63X shall be a dry objective;

2. All of the objectives shall be able to do phase contrast.

**Question #3:**

**Requirement 5:** Shall be capable of Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) Which objectives are to be DIC capable? Is this manual or motorized DIC?

**Answer:**

1. 10X and 20X should be DIC capable;

2. Shall be manual.
