## Description

A synopsis was not required per FAR 5.202(a)(6), Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions – Exceptions, as this requirement is being procured as an order placed under subpart 16.5, and the order contains brand-name specifications per 16.505(a)(4). It’s also for a commercial item, and an advance notice is not appropriate or reasonable. The CDC is posting this award notice and justification in accordance with FAR 5.3 Synopsis of Contract Awards (a) Except for contract actions described in paragraph (b) of this section and as provided in 5.003, contracting officers must synopsize through the GPE the following:
