## Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Geisinger Clinic for Surveillance Based Lyme Disease Network as a follow-on contract to 75D30123C18193. Geisinger is required to provide continued services to develop, finalize, and implement Electronic Health Record (HER) algorithms to provide estimates of Lyme Disease (LD) incidence and LD outcomes, and to monitor trends in LD epidemiology.

Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements, as the start-up efforts, in terms of time, experience, and knowledge sharing, for all network participants have been significant and any contract awarded to other vendors would result in a loss of work and current data already collected. We therefore conclude that the only vendor option for the service contract is Geisinger Clinic.

This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.

A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at msipin@cdc.gov by 12:00 PM EST on 29 May 2024.
